Lumby The book contains the Old English versions and translations of five poems from the MS now called CCCC 201 and a Latin version of the De die iudicii ascribed to Bede. The five poems are: Judgement Day II (here called Be Domes Dæge), An Exhortation to Christian Living (here called Lar), A Summons to Prayer (here called Oratio Poetica), Lord's Prayer III (here called Paraphrase of the Lord's Prayer) and Gloria I (here called Doxology). A number of notes and an extensive Index Verborum offer further linguistic information. The translations are slightly antiquated but still of great use.

Marshall Rev. Marshall offers connotated translations of a letter of Beda to Eusebius, an Epigram of Beda on St. John and the Explanation of the Apocalypse. He also gives an index of passages of scripture and of proper names. All three texts combined offer a good understanding of Bede's exegetical view on the Book of Revelation.

McClure Next to an introduction to Bede and his work, this book contains the authoritative translation of the Ecclesiastical History by Bertram Colgrave, with additional comments in the notes, a translation of the Sixth Age section of the Greater Chronicle by McClure and Collins, a translation of the Letter to Egbert from C.Plummer, Baedae Opera Historica, and a translation of Cuthbert's Letter on the Death of Bede, again by Bertram Colgrave.

Morris The 19 homilies of the MS are included in Old-English and translation by Rev. Morris. The Blickling Glosses and an index of words by Rev. Morris rounds up the book.

Scragg This is the latest edition of all twenty-three homilies within the Vercelli Book.
Skeat Still the standard edition.

It includes The Words of the High One, The Lay of Grimnir, The Lay of Vafthrudnir, The Words of the All-Wise, The Lay of Thrym, The Lay of Hymir, The Lay of Erik, The Treachery of Asmund, The Waking of Angantyr, The Lay of Völund, Brunhild's Hel-Ride, Baldur's Dreams, Skirnir's Ride, The Lay of Harbard, Loki's Flyting and the Song of the Sybil.

Van de Weyer If one wants a quick first insight into the content of the Historia Ecclesiastica, this is the book to read. Robert Van der Weyer retells the History in this abridged and newly sorted version as a continuous narrative which is easy to follow. An index of the main figures and places helps the reader to keep track of the different parallel narrative threads. And for those who wish to read further, the chapters of this book are related to those in the original in the 'References to the Original Texts'.
